PBS NewsHour: Turning uniforms into paper as artistic therapy
May 2, 2012The Combat Paper Project began in 2007, when a veteran of the Iraq war, “trying to make sense of his experience, cut up his uniform to make paper from its fibers,” Gwen Ifill reports. Now, there is a permanent workshop in New Jersey, providing a “therapeutic and artistic outlet” to veterans “hoping to reconcile the good and bad of lives spent at war.” Continue reading
