Guard brings holiday cheer to North Dakota Veterans Home

LISBON, N.D. (AP) — Volunteers with the North Dakota National Guard are making their annual trip to the North Dakota Veterans Home in Lisbon to show their appreciation for the men and women who served before them.

The trip was scheduled Wednesday. Guardsmen from across the state donated money to buy Christmas gifts for the 129 residents at the facility.

About two dozen soldiers including Guard commander Maj. Gen. David Sprynczynatyk were delivering the gifts.
